Fresh Start
The Alaska Department of Health offers the Fresh Start program for FREE to improve health in the State of Alaska. Many individuals are matched with a coach and most of the engagement is online, over the phone, and always at your pace.

Alaska Health Fairs
Every year, the Northern Valley Health Coalition, Sunshine Community Health Center, The Mat-Su Health Foundation, and Alaska Health Fairs, Inc. come together to host a community health fair in Trapper Creek, Willow, and Talkeetna. Health fairs offer affordable blood tests, screening, and resources.
Alaska Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening
Alaska Breast and Cervical Screening Assistance Program helps eligible Alaskans get breast and cervical health screenings. Alaska Breast and Cervical Screening Assistance Program enrollees can get mammograms and pap tests paid for by the program. Alaska Breast and Cervical Screening Assistance Program also pays for diagnostic tests when needed, and helps Alaskans get referred for financial support if they need treatment.

Alaska Temporary Assistance Program
The Alaska Temporary Assistance Program (ATAP) provides cash assistance and work services to low-income families with children to help them with basic needs while they work toward becoming self-sufficient. This program is provided under the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) block grant.
